A collaborative art gallery based on an artificial intelligence system.

At the beginning of 2021, the qualities of the DALL-E system, this powerful artificial intelligence system that generates images based on a textual description, through a neural network system, were announced in many web portals.

Although DALL-E is not available to be used from the web, it is a freely available technology.

Today we present the collaborative digital gallery Art by An AI, using VQGAN and CLIP algorithms, Alice, the artificial intelligence system, generates images based on a textual description, under a dynamic similar to that of DALL-E.

The dynamic of the platform is that each user can choose one of the proposals and hope to obtain during the day, enough votes to appear in the top 10 selected images. The selection is an open vote.

Every day, at 12:00 UTC, the system generates 10 images for the winning proposals. The images will be available for the next 24 hours, which can be purchased as a print (poster or canvas), after 24 hours, the generated artwork disappears forever.

Although some images, of the 10 winners, are not available for sale, such as works that present problems with the upsampling algorithm, which would result in a final print of different appearance as the created image, the platform does not market prints of artworks affected by this problem.

While it is true that digital artworks are disappeared after 24 hours, some of them, can be appreciated on the platform's Instagram profile.

The participatory component is the main attraction of the platform, besides that all users can participate, voting on any topic raised or proposing new topics. It would be interesting to find out if the topic and what we imagine, resembles what the artificial intelligence system raises.
