Power Line Communications (PLC) technology refers to communications transmitted through power lines, that is, transmission of communication signals through electrical power transmission lines. It can be said that PLC technology uses the electrical network and converts it into a digital data transmission line, allowing, among other things, access to the Internet.
The PLC devices are currently more known, so it is not necessary a large investment in such devices, and it is possible to achieve a data transfer and signal stability at low cost. Remember that PLC technology is applicable in residences where the wifi signal does not cover all areas, and installing a wiring can be cumbersome, and even unavailable, PLC can be the solution for the internet signal is in virtually any area of the home.
A domestic PLC installation consists of two devices: an emitter and a receiver, the first is plugged into the power supply and connected to the router, sending the signal via the electrical network, the second receives the signal, being connected to the plug, achieving the connection.
