Data management is nothing more than the practice of collecting, organizing, synthesizing and accessing data to support the productivity, efficiency and decision making of every organization. Today, data is everything in an organization.

This procedure includes a wide range of tasks and activities such as: data collection, processing, validation and storage, data access regulation, data recovery in case of loss and a very important factor, data privacy protection and guarantee.

Why should every organization give importance to data management? Data is an excellent tool for decision making, preventing resource leakage and defining strategies that allow action to be taken in the face of unforeseen scenarios, such as the covid-19 pandemic, which is why it is so important to manage an entire structure to dispose of, safeguard and protect data.

With the right tools, the data should not be overwhelming, but can be used to provide organizations with in-depth knowledge and predictions with a higher level of accuracy. The companies that base their decisions have a great competitive advantage over the others, therefore the importance of defining a feasible, secure and reliable strategy when it comes to storing data, not only the traditional ones but also those coming from unconventional sources such as video and audio files, web site clickstream data, social media actions and comments, and more.
