Copenhagen Suborbitals, the project that unites 50 amateurs to build a space rocket.

The space rocket is named Spica I, and hopes to be launched into space in about 10 years, the team that makes up Denmark's Copenhagen Suborbitals is committed to making their country the fourth to take people into space.

The project is very cutting edge in the European region and in its launch, as a manned spacecraft has never been launched from Europe, nor from an aquatic launch pad. We know that they are not as well-known as other companies dedicated to space navigation, this project involves a lot of resources, funding and most of all human commitment to achieve the goal.

Mads Stenfatt, volunteer member since 2011 and expert skydiver, stated for the Futurism portal "Once you're in, you also start to realize that the fun part is not getting to the finish line, [but] constantly working on challenges that are so ridiculously difficult."

The project has had delays not only because of funding, but because of restrictions on face-to-face meetings in Denmark in the wake of the pandemic, as the team is 50 people strong. "Right now we have assembled the two fuel tanks, the liquid oxygen tank and the alcohol tank, and the engine team is starting to fabricate the first components for the engine," Stenfatt said of the rocket's construction progress, "We are also working on the test stand that we will use to test the engine ignition," he added "So things are moving along at a steady pace."

The team is optimistic, their goal is clear, and they keep it in mind throughout, to make Denmark the fourth nation to take a person into space, even though they have no state resources for space projects.

Undoubtedly, they will achieve a historic milestone when they reach the goal.
