Large technology companies such as Google, Apple and Microsoft are taking the privacy of user data more seriously. In reaction to Facebook's revelations in regards to the collection and exchange of user data. The GDPR regulations adopted by the EU have also played an important role.
Information about you is collected all the time if you are online, carry a cell phone or do anything else in the digital world. There is nothing you can do about it, but you can do something about what the technological giants do with your data once they are collected.
However Google is committed to providing users with more information and control over what they do with the data they collect. What users do on the web or in applications is one of the main sources of Google data. Recently, it gave people the ability to eliminate this data after a period of time. If you do not want your data to stay on Google servers forever, you can easily delete them.
If you do not want Google to collect any of these data, you can pause the collection at the cost of losing the benefits of personalization in Google applications and services and personalized targeting of ads that come from Google. If you wish to pause data collection, press the "Web and activity" toggle switch in step 4 above. If you choose to pause the collection, the data that Google has already collected will not be deleted. You must continue through steps 5 and 6 to delete your data.
